Back with you now to look at a few night games. Not a great prime time slate. But, Colorado/Nebraska is getting a lot of hype because of the coaching battle. If a game is getting a lot of hype, it’s going to draw a lot of betting interest.
Let’s see how sharps have been betting that one so far…along with a few other evening attractions matching power conference teams going head to head…
Colorado at Nebraska
Opening line of Nebraska -6.5 was bet quickly through the key number of -7 up to -7.5. Though the offense was great, Colorado was very soft defensively in a close win over North Dakota State. Sharps wanting to fade the Buffs jumped in to beat public money. That said, after the move to 7.5, a true tug-of-war developed between interest in Nebraska -7 and Colorado +7.5. The Buffs DO have an elite QB, which gives any dog a chance to cover clean or in garbage time.
A lot of back and forth. Then, the most recent tick was actually down from 7 to 6.5. That’s important, breaking the tug-of-war toward the DOG in a big TV game. Maybe some of that is recreational bettors who love Deion (a real contingent from last season). But, it meant the pull of Nebraska -7 money in the prior tug-of-war had been overwhelmed. Colorado +7.5 is now clearly a “sharp” side, with some still taking +7.
