Lakers Advance, Warriors Eliminated in Tuesday’s NBA Play-ins
Sharps Win Both Unders Comfortably
You can see why sharps were POUNDING the Unders in Tuesday’s NBA Play-in games! Market missed both games by a good bit. Oddsmakers overshot the mark with their openers. Sharps moved the games about 4-5 points with their money. STILL wasn’t enough.
*Lakers/Pelicans played to 216 against a 224.5 total, Under by 8.5 points
*Warriors/Kings played to 212 against a 223 total, Under by 11 points
None of the four halves even made it past 110 points. Consistently-paced basketball through the night. In order, scoring sums by half were 110, 106, 104 and 108. Games weren’t particularly slow, with possession counts near 100. But, defense matters in playoff style basketball, which makes offenses have to work harder to get good shots.
Of course, most fans and analysts were much more focused on winners, losers, and narratives in play through Tuesday’s battles. Let’s crunch the numbers and see what we can learn about market impact of those narratives.
