Two games on the Thursday night slate. Both feature #1 seeds as home favorites coming off blowout victories two nights ago. Will the road dogs bounce back and make things competitive? Or, are we destined for one-sided jaunts for the Boston Celtics and Oklahoma City Thunder?
Let’s see how sharps (professional wagerers) have been betting these games so far. As always, we’ll take ‘em in tipoff order.
Cleveland at Boston (7 p.m. ET, ESPN)
Opening line of Boston -13 sat for a very long time. That tells you right there that sharps WEREN’T interest in laying a number this high, even if Boston keeps running away and hiding from market prices. Any sharps liking Boston would have come in early to beat recreational bettors to the price. Recent betting saw public interest lift the line to -13.5. No resistance yet from dog lovers. Old-school sharps who take all double-digit dogs in the playoffs may be waiting to see if they can get +14 for a smidge more value. Gives them time to lick their wounds from previous bets against Boston. (Or, maybe they just gave up on that for this season already.)
No ”sharp side” to report. Dog lovers would probably take +14 if they see it, but may have to settle for +13.5.
