Playoff time!

The NBA Playoffs officially begin Tuesday night with play-in games involving the #7 and #8 seeds in each conference. Tuesday’s winners will earn the #7 spot in the brackets and advance to a first round series against a #2 seed (Boston in the East, Houston in the West).

Losers will eventually host a winner from Wednesday’s #9 vs. #10 battles in each half of the brackets. So, a Tuesday loss is not an elimination. Losers can still win their way to a first round battle with a #1 seed (Cleveland in the East, Oklahoma City in the West).

Let’s see how sharps have been betting Tuesday’s twin bill so far. Today begins a lengthy spring and summer schedule that will feature sharps reports every morning US time…then stat recaps late at night once action is complete. Can’t want to see how sharps are betting these games…and looking forward to learning more about “Trey-less efficiency” as a basketball handicapping tool.

Atlanta at Orlando

Opening line of Orlando -5 hasn’t budged since the opening. You regulars know that means sharps DON’T like the favorite. Wise Guys always bet favorites EARLY if they see value because they want to get in before public money. Recreational bettors almost always lay the points because it’s more fun to root for the superior team. This matchup of projected distant also-rans may not garner much public interest. But, sharps would have bet EARLY anyway if they wanted the favorite!
